The Fédération Equestre Internationale were looking for support with their media rights, with the main objective to increase their media exposure across their key properties, including the inaugural Longines League of Nations, the FEI Jumping World Cup Western European League, the FEI Jumping World Cup North American League, FEI Dressage World Cup Western European League, FEI Eventing Nations Cup (Series and Final), FEI European Championships Olympic Disciplines (Jumping/Dressage/Eventing).
With an initial term of six months, Sunset+Vine dedicated an Account Manager and three International Sales Managers to the project. The first task was to continue the contract negotiations with the current prospects, following up and contracting with existing rights holders.
In conjunction with the FEI and based upon agreed markets, we developed new leads, negotiated, and contracted the broadcasters for Live, Highlights, and News coverage for all events. We developed a time buy strategy for the Americas, China, and Japan and, when agreed upon with the FEI, negotiated the terms, which included commercial inventory for Longines.
In addition we provided feedback on the type and format of content that would work in each market to optimize exposure and maintained relevant reporting to the FEI across all deals.
Sunset+Vine increased the live uptake across the properties by 54% and by 82% for the highlights programming.
In the words of Ralph Strauss, FEI Commercial Director: "Thank you for your support during the last months, the broadcast uptake has been great!"
