In 2024, Sunset+Vine was asked to deliver premium coverage of Wimbledon for Prime Video’s German-speaking audience.
The brief was simple: make the tournament feel bigger, richer and more immersive. That meant outstanding production, smarter storytelling and expert analysis that took Wimbledon beyond a traditional broadcast.
Sunset+Vine delivered a bold production that raised the bar for tennis coverage.
With full HDR production and nine parallel match streams, we produced an all-day on-site studio show built around the best matches, the biggest stories and behind-the-scenes access. From a rooftop studio overlooking Wimbledon, the main programme combined expert analysis, player insight and a daily highlights show, Wimbledon – Der Tag.
The programme moved at pace and brought together a 50:50 gender-balanced panel of tennis names including Michael Stich, Andrea Petkovic and Sabine Lisicki.
The coverage went well beyond the matches themselves. Our Triumph and Disaster series captured the emotion and drama of each day through striking visuals and creative storytelling. Our commentators and reporters brought viewers closer to the action and gave them a real sense of being inside the Wimbledon grounds.
With a crew of around 200 people, most of them German-speaking, we delivered approximately 500 hours of world-class tennis coverage.
The production set a new benchmark for tennis coverage in Germany and Austria.
Prime Video’s audience got an experience that felt premium, immersive and full of personality. From live analysis with Grand Slam-winning coaches to exclusive guest appearances, the coverage kept viewers engaged throughout the tournament.
Most importantly, it showed how world-class tennis could be covered with both authority and imagination.
